Serving Our Soldiers at Dallas First UMC has two amazing opportunities to support our soldiers on the front lines, and children of soldiers here at home who are recovering from battle wounds at Veterans Hospitals.
We have recently been contacted by an Army Chaplain stationed in Iraq requesting pinatas for Iraqi children. In his words.."When Iraqi's see we love their children they take our names off the kill infidel list." Please help support SOS as we purchase pinatas and ship them to Baghdad.
Our second opportunity to say thanks is through a program called "Little Warriors." They are collecting stuffed animals for children of wounded servicemembers recovering at Walter Reed and other hospitals around the country. SOS is now collecting NEW 12-18" stuffed animals for this program (NO beanie baby's please) and quite possibly hand delivering them to local GA base hospitals.
