Regarding the 3rd Ranger Bn, Ft. Benning, Ga.

Following is a note that a friend sent to me if any one would like to make a contribution. The 3rd Ranger Bn could use about $3000.00 more dollars to help in bringing their fallen hero families together. If anyone has interest, please read the following information.

What we are raising money for is the Ranger Special Activities Fund. On May 26, 2008, we will hold a Memorial on the Ranger compound, and it is separate from any other memorial on post. The reason we do this is complicated. Rangers are a Special Operations Force and all Training, Missions, and Operations are classified. Because of this, families are usually unfamiliar with their Ranger's day-to-day life or military achievements. We use the memorial to introduce the families to their fallen Ranger's friends, living area, training, and accomplishments. The funds in the RSAF cover the flight, lodging, and meals at Ft. Benning. This year we have roughly 20 family members attending. Thank you so much for your help with this.

Very Respectfully,
Scott (Mac) Bryan

The Ranger Activity Association would like to thank you for your continued support. Through your efforts, we are able to ensure that Rangers are brought together while in support of Ranger Activities. The Ranger Activity Association was established to gain support within the civilian and military communities to promote the values recognized in the Ranger Creed.
RSAF is used to pay honor to Rangers, families and friends by sponsoring activities, which promote these aspirations and traditions. The association is self-sustaining and is indebted to contributors who have helped to ensure our Rangers are taken care of once they return home. Rangers train and deploy to ensure the freedoms we enjoy in the United States. RSAF enables these young men and their families to enjoy their limited time at home.
Since its inception the Ranger Special Activity Fund has helped to ensure that we support Rangers and their families for the sacrifice they have laid at the feet of our great nation. This is only possible because of thoughtful contributions from people like you.
All donations are tax deductible and can be made out to RSAF and mailed to the address above. Upon receipt of a donation, our Treasurer will send a letter with a current tax identification code to the contributor. Contributions of $1,000 or more will be invited and acknowledged at the battalion's formal invitation only Ranger Ball. We appreciate your donation and look forward to a continued friendship.
